How To enable Hyper-V Configuration on Windows 8 client

by EO 20. November 2011 16:05

In this article I am going to show you how easy is to enable Hyper-v Client on Windows 8. As you might already know, Windows 7 had only “Windows XP Mode” or “App-V” available as “virtualization” platform, but running different OS’s in a single platform was not really possible. If you are a trainer or IT enthusiastic like me  who likes to try many things on VMs then VMware or Virtual Box was the only solution. Hey is this not cool, No need to have a Server 2008 R2 or Windows 8 Server OS anymore :) all can be done via your client OS ;)

Hyper-V Configuration

Hyper-V  can be enabled on Windows 8 client via the  Windows Features applet in the Control Panel.

Here is the Step by Step article for you :

1) From the Start page, select the Control Panel tile (Figure 1).

  1. 3) In the Control Panel window, select Programs (Figure 3). I am sure that you have noticed the Windows 7 look, which I am expecting to change in Windows 7 RTM (just my guess)
