In this new environment, cybersecurity professionals are facing a host of new threats.
Remote working, an increased reliance on cloud and SaaS, staff availability shortages, and the increase in targeted attacks against under-pressure staff are putting organisations around the world under even more strain.
At this challenging time, information-sharing and collaboration are crucial to our ability to defend systems and data against cybercriminals.
Value-driven virtual events
Over the past year, we’ve hosted virtual conferences and round-tables for senior audiences all across EMEA, with a strong focus on providing the same high-level content and networking our community is accustomed to, while leveraging the added benefits made possible by the online format.
The feedback for our virtual conferences has been exceptional – you can see some quotes here:
“The e-Crime Congress organized virtually on 21st October was one of a kind. The contents were as always excellent and engrossing. What stood out is the format, layout of the website, organization and logistics – it was absolutely amazing. A huge thank you to AKJ Associates for hosting such a wonderful event!” – Chief Risk Officer, RAKBank
“I found the event yesterday in this new virtual format to be successful, very interesting and stimulating.” – IT Security Officer, MLP

There was a wide range of speakers with different backgrounds which allowed for great diversity and ensuring that all important aspects, hardships, processes are identified giving a better contextual background to the issues discussed.” – Information Security Officer, Qliro AB

Almost 20 years at the heart of the cyber community
For 19 years, the e-Crime & Cybersecurity Congress has been the largest and most sophisticated closed-door meeting place for senior cybersecurity professionals from government, law enforcement, intelligence and the private sector.
Back in 2002 it was clear that there was a need for a highly select assembly that brought together business, government, law enforcement and Intelligence agencies in order to learn, share and work to combat cyber-crime of all kinds.
So in that year, AKJ Associates founded the e-Crime Congress after an approach by the Home Office, The National Crime Squad, The National Criminal Intelligence Service and the then recently founded National Hi-Tech Crime Unit (NHTCU).
19 years later we still work in partnership with the latest incarnation of the NHTCU – the National Crime Agency (NCA) – as well as the governments and intelligence agencies of countries around the world.
Today the e-Crime Congress is still a must-attend event for senior information risk and security professionals from business and government worldwide.
A must-attend event for the public sector
AKJ Associates understands the public sector. We have a global reputation for creating events with key governments and public sector agencies. We’ve run Interpol’s Annual General Assembly and numerous Regional Assemblies and executed events for Europol, World Customs Organisation (WCO), the World Intellectual Property Organisation, the European Commission as well as most G8 Governments.
The 19th annual e-Crime & Cybersecurity Congress will be the largest and most sophisticated virtual meeting place for senior cyber-security professionals from government, law enforcement, intelligence and the private sector.
It will address the critical issues of:
- Defending against nation-state actors
- International law enforcement co-operation
- Securing CNI
- The government response to cyber-threats
- Securing the IoT
- Collaboration between the public and private sectors
- Building and enforcing useful, real-world regulations
The e-Crime & Cybersecurity Congress has always been a must-attend event for UK and international law enforcement and intelligence. Today, given the scale of the threat and the increasing threat posed by cyber-crime to business, citizens and government, it is more relevant than ever.
A must-attend event for private sector leaders
The security landscape has always been fast-changing, but the current situation is unprecedented. Our speakers will be sharing insights into the strategies and technologies which can be put in place to maintain high standards of security without compromising efficiency.
Our industry case studies are lessons from the leaders: who is really taking cybersecurity seriously in terms of resourcing and hiring? How are they addressing new and persistent challenges? Who is being truly proactive and what benefits are they seeing?
The 19th e-Crime & Cybersecurity Congress will feature expert speakers from industry, government and the market’s leading service suppliers to deliver:
- Critical and unique insights that can inform the direction of business, technology and security strategy
- Practical steps that can help assess exposure to, articulate and proactively mitigate the impacts of emerging risks
- Examples of proven approaches that can ensure commercial objectives are met in a secure, compliant manner
- Guidance on future issues and challenges to consider as part of the enterprise decision-making process
…all without leaving your own desk!
