Who is Julia White 

Julia White, Microsoft corporate vice president of product marketing for Azure, developer tools, and servers, is leaving the company to join SAP. White will become SAP’s chief marketing and solutions officer and serve on its executive board. SAP announced White’s new role alongside the appointment of Scott Russell to its executive board, who has been president of SAP Asia Pacific Japan and APJ.

White has been with Microsoft for almost 20 years. She began as a product manager in the Windows Server division and later joined the Office Division as its general manager. People outside of Microsoft may best recognize her from her demos during Microsoft events. White presented at several Microsoft events over the years, including the announcement of the HoloLens 2 and Azure Kinect DK.

Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President Julia White is leaving the company after 20 years. For the past 5 years, Julia was leading the product marketing for Azure, Developer Tools and Servers. Julia White first joined Microsoft as a Product Manager in 2001.

SAP today announced that Julia White is joining its company as chief marketing and solutions officer. SAP mentioned that White will strengthen the company’s go-to-market approach with a focus on product, industry and digital marketing, as well as focus on bridging customer and ecosystem needs with product development.

Early this week, we reported about another high profile exit at Microsoft. Brad Anderson, Corporate Vice President of the Commercial Management Experiences team, is leaving Microsoft. At Microsoft, Brad was responsible for deploying the Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace, as well as engineering/defining/delivering commercial Windows, management, and security of PCs and mobile devices. After 17 years at Microsoft, Brad Anderson is joining Qualtrics as President of Products & Services.

Julia White biography

Julia White is Chief Marketing and Solutions Officer and member of the Executive Board at SAP SE. In her role, White leads the product and industry solution value propositions, go-to-market approach, global brand and digital marketing, corporate communications, and government affairs. 

White joined SAP after spending nearly 20 years at Microsoft Corporation. Most recently she was Corporate Vice President of product marketing for Microsoft Azure helping grow the business to become the world’s second largest public cloud. Prior to this, she spent 8 years within the Office division where she was instrumental in leading the product’s evolution from an on-premises technology to establishing Office 365 as the leader in cloud productivity services. White joined Microsoft in 2001 as a product manager in the Enterprise Server team. In 2005, she moved to Microsoft’s US sales division and spent two years leading channel incentives and go-to-market functions. 

White has a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School.

White sits on the Board of City Year Seattle/King County, chartered on being an anti-racist, youth empowerment organization.
