Awarded as Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (21-22)

Microsoft MVP
Erdal2021-06-29T20:02:53-04:00

It’s a great honor for me to awarded as Microsoft Most Valuable Professional and to be called “Microsoft MVP ” again. (2021 -2022)

Beside being an MVP I am still a Microsoft Regional Director (community leadership award) , and to be clear no I am not back to work for Microsoft, but they’re kind enough to recognize my community contributions by way of their award programs .

Thank you for everyone for their support, especially Deepak Rajendran, Ann Johnson and many others…

Dr Erdal Ozkaya

PS : I was awarded as Microsoft Most Valuable Professional first time in 2008 and I hold the title until I joined Microsoft as Full Time Employee in 2016. After resigning from Microsoft in 2018, I was first awarded as Microsoft Regional Director in 2020 and now I am re-awarded as MVP again.

Who are MVP’s ?

Microsoft Most Valuable Professional’s, or MVPs, are technology experts who passionately share their knowledge with the community. They are always on the “bleeding edge” and have an unstoppable urge to get their hands on new, exciting technologies. They have very deep knowledge of Microsoft products and services, while also being able to bring together diverse platforms, products and solutions, to solve real world problems. MVPs make up a global community of over 4,000 technical experts and community leaders across 90 countries/regions and are driven by their passion, community spirit, and quest for knowledge. Above all and in addition to their amazing technical abilities, MVPs are always willing to help others – that’s what sets them apart.

What is the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award?

For more than two decades, the Microsoft MVP Award is our way of saying “Thanks!” to outstanding community leaders. The contributions MVPs make to the community, ranging from speaking engagements, to social media posts, to writing books, to helping others in online communities, have incredible impact. Key benefits to MVPs include early access to Microsoft products, direct communication channels with our product teams and an invitation to the Global MVP Summit, an exclusive annual event hosted in our global HQ in Redmond.

They also have a very close relationship with the local Microsoft teams in their area, who are there to support and empower MVPs to address needs and opportunities in the local ecosystem. Other benefits include an executive recognition letter, a Visual Studio technical subscription, and an Office 365 subscription.

What does it take to be an Microsoft Most Valuable Professional?

There are 3 very simple steps: Be an expert, do lots of what you love, and let us know! Really, there isn’t a long checklist of things you need to do to become an MVP. The best MVPs really excel in step #2: they LOVE what they do. And we can tell! Whether you’re a great speaker, have a talent in blogging, lead a top technical community, are a social media superstar, a top GitHub or Stack Overflow contributor or have a totally different and cool way to share your passion for our products and services, we’d love to know more!

How can YOU become an Microsoft Most Valuable Professional?

Microsoft wants to award the best and brightest technical community leaders! To place yourself into consideration for the MVP Award, a nomination referral must be first submitted on your behalf by either a Microsoft Full Time Employee (FTE) or Microsoft MVP. Following this referral submission, a link to complete the award nomination will be sent to you. Once you have completed the nomination form, we will review your nomination. As you can imagine, sometimes we receive a lot of applications, this process can take up to 90 days. If you have any questions, please contact the MVP global support channel.
